Rippa Rugby World Cup

Rippa Rugby World Cup
Wales vs New Zealand
The Finals For Kids

"RIP!" I shouted across the wet slippery rugby field as I tried to run without slipping over. Bbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiinnnnnnngggg. The whistle gave a piercing
noise as one of my team players proudly scored a try for our team.
"SPREAD OUT" screeched our team captain Rivez because we had all ran into the left side of the field.
”Go Stephanie” we all cheered because she was right beside the try line just when, “RIP” said one of the kids from the other team.
“Oh man,” thought Stephanie as she passed over the ball.
"Hey Steph", we all screamed out to her so that she would pass the ball to us. Finally she passed it to me. I took a run for it but as soon as I got to the try line someone yelled, "RIP".I stopped, then passed the ball to one of the boys because I knew that he would get another try for our non stop winning rippa rugby team. The whistle gave another piercing screech as my team mate Paul dived for the try.
“We are the champions”, I said to myself as the Austalian team walked on to the stage to get their bronze medals and Wales went to go and get their silver medal. Last but not least our team went up and got our GOLDEN medals. One of the men had a camera and asked me what it felt like to win rippa and have all of theese cameras flash at you?
I said, "It's a very good experience and it feels like paparazzi!

“Wow!” I yelled out as we got on the spectacular field when all the supporters screamed loudly.

”GO NEW ZEALAND!” all the people shouted as I sprinted down the sideline.

“Yay!” we all said with smiles on our faces.

“Get him”, the Wales supporters said calmly as me and Rivez were stepping them.

“Nice work”, we whispered to Rivez as he zoomed quickly.

“Oh no!” I said when we all slipped across the shiny ground as they scored a try. We rushed up to the half way line and we tapped it and I ran through their defence like a knife cutting through butter .And then the whistle blew. Finally! Now we can go and get a free ice cream from Mr Whippy.

Now we are the champs of New Zealand I can’t wait to hold the trophy.

Ecstatically my heart was drumming when I galloped down the skinny sideline and dove upon everyone else and scored early in the game in the corner.

“GO NEW ZEALAND” “GO WALES.” Ours and their supporters were hectic on the sideline screaming out future All Blacks names in the making. Suddenly they scored and then we scored it was tit for tat, That instant they scored 3 tries, thankfully our girls were doing some diligent work on defense and I think that that lifted up the team a whole new level and we wanted the silver trophy more.

In the last dying minutes of the final they scored and that was finally the try of the game and my heart just kicked backed and relaxed. And I said “Im going to enjoy the ride back with the trophy by my side“.

!! CAMP !!

!! CAMP !!

“Ohh” anxious as I was waiting to hear about whats on today from Mr Baker, the wall!! “ohh noo” I screamed. The wall is about 15-18 meters TALL!! and we have to climb down it. Heaps of my school mates are going to do it so Ill give it a shot too.
“Ahh!” eventually it’s my turn and im a little bit scared but I’ll give it my best. So I get a talk through from our supervisor Anna, she was great. After I put my helmet on I made my way up the terrifying ladders and on the first floor and nerviously I looked down from the second floor and then I had to wait a while for Anna  to get ready and tie all the safety ropes to the mouldy pole.
“Alright you can come up now” she yelled and so I slowly dragged  myself  up as slow as a slow as a SLOTH and I swiftly looked down.    I could just make out the people who were cheering for me. Slowly I took a step back and I SLIPPED OFF, “WOO” I yellped as I leant off the ledge and looked down. Suddenly!! I was halfway down the wall and felt so JUBILIANT and ELATED I even tried a few tricks like bouncing off the wall and come flying back. Eventually my feet hit the ground. Just what I was waiting for.
“Yaaa” I finally did it now i can say I can say I’ve finally conquered     the Abseiling wall and tell my parents. I’m really glad that I done it  even though I was terrified.

“ Woo!” I said as I stumbled and came crashing into the water, making a massive splash while everybody laughed. All this because of my stupid annoying flippers! Finally, I got in the water, but by then it was numbing. I asked if the water was always that cold at Reotahi ... but no answer, so I just carried on. There were people scattered all over our group. We had about twenty people in each group and there were 4 groups. We were seniors and we’ve been planning this trip for ages. Where lucky that we had really really great weather that day because it felt like a sauna in the swimming suit.
Our topic was about Biodiversity in a Marine Reserve and thats why we are at Reotahi. I’ve seen videos about sharks and 5 metre long Orcas in the Reserve, wandering and hunting for food. Under the water I could see in the distant bright VIVID fish cruising in and out of jagged holes in the rocks and scouting for lush kelp as it passes by.
I wondered if there were any sharks around there because if there were, I would have BOLTED to shore.
